These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of PrivatePDFConvert and its tools. By using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

1. The service

PrivatePDFConvert provides free, browser-based tools for converting and working with PDF files. All conversion is performed locally in your browser; we do not receive or store the contents of your files.

2. Permitted use

You agree to use the site lawfully and not to:

Convert, distribute, or otherwise process files you do not have the legal right to handle (including copyrighted material you do not own or license).
Attempt to disrupt, interfere with, or compromise the site’s security.
Scrape, copy, or republish substantial portions of our content without permission.
Reverse-engineer the service in ways that exceed normal client-side use, or use the service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.

You are solely responsible for the files you process and the use you make of the converted output.

3. Conversion accuracy

We strive for high-quality conversion, but PDF is a notoriously hard format to reverse perfectly. Complex layouts, embedded fonts, scanned images, or protected PDFs may not convert with full fidelity. We make no representation that any output is suitable for a particular purpose. Always review converted documents before relying on them.

4. Pro tier

Optional paid “Pro” features may be offered for a recurring fee. Pro purchases are billed by our payment processor under their own terms. Pro users do not see advertising. Cancellation policies and refunds, if any, will be described at the point of purchase.

5. Intellectual property

All site content, branding, logos, design, and written articles are the property of PrivatePDFConvert or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. The Word documents you generate from your own PDFs are yours.

6. Third-party links and partners

The site contains advertisements served by third parties and may include affiliate links. We do not control those third parties’ products or practices, and our inclusion of a link is not an endorsement.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The site is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PrivatePDFConvert and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim related to the site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PrivatePDFConvert and its operators from any claim, demand, or damages arising out of your misuse of the site, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

10. Changes to the service or Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site at any time, and we may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of the site is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
